12 Point Guitar & Bass Setup

Next day turn around on top quality guitar and bass setups performed by our highly trained technicians. Each instrument goes through a rigid inspection and adjustment process, is setup with new strings, and receives a deluxe cleaning. Your guitar will look and play better than ever!

1. NECK - First, we check the neck under tension, to make sure that it is straight. If not, we make small adjustments to the truss rod, until the neck is perfect. If your neck has too much relief, causing it to bow, it will affect the action of your instrument, making playing uncomfortable. It also can throw off your intonation and make you sound crappy overall. If it's back-bowed, you could be experiencing some fret buzz or even have some frets that won't play at all.
2. BRIDGE - Next, we check the bridge, which also plays a big part in the action of your instrument. We tweak each string to make sure that its action is nice and low but also that every fret plays clearly.
3. NUT - After the truss rod and bridge are both adjusted, the third thing that can affect the action, is the nut. We check each slot to ensure that your strings are sitting at the perfect height.
4. ELECTRONICS - If you have a short in a knob or switch, or if you hear a popping noise when you're adjusting your volume or tone, your electronics might have developed some oxidation. We check each of the components of your electrical system, tighten any screws and clean with contact cleaner to get rid of any corrosion.
5. CHANGE STRINGS - We remove the old strings for steps 6-9 and then replace with a new set of your preferred gauge.
6. HARDWARE - While the strings are off the guitar, we'll check all of the hardware and tighten anything that has become loose.
7. FRETS - We clean and polish your frets to a high shine.
8. FRETBOARD - We clean and condition the fretboard and remove any finger gunk.
9. STRUCTURE - Next, we thoroughly inspect the overall structure of the instrument. Bolt-neck electrics occasionally suffer from lose neck-joint screws, and braces within an acoustic guitars sometimes break or come unglued.
10. PICKUPS - After replacing the strings, we check the pickups height to make sure they are at the optimum level for producing the best sound.
11. INTONATION - Having correct intonation means that a string sounds at the correct pitch for each fret along its length. If the intonation is off, the guitar will go out of tune, the higher you go on the neck. We make sure that it is in tune all the way up!
12. DELUXE CLEANING - Finally, we complete the process with a top to bottom cleaning and polishing, making sure all of the shiny parts shine.
